Terms of use for publishing news materials on the inbox news portal

1. General Provisions and Terms
1.1. These Terms govern the procedure for publishing and displaying news materials on the Inbox News portal, available at news.inbox.lv and news.inbox.eu (hereinafter — the Portal).
1.2. Within these Terms, the following definitions apply:
Company — SIA Inbokss, the owner and operator of the Portal;
Partner — a legal entity or individual providing materials for publication on the Portal;
Materials — any informational content (including text, images, audio, video, and other data) provided by the Partner;
User — a person accessing the Portal.
1.3. Publishing Materials on the Portal constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms by the Partner.
1.4. The Company performs automatic indexing, annotation, and categorization of Materials provided by Partners without making changes to their content.
1.5. The Company does not create, edit, or otherwise perform editorial processing of Partners’ news materials.


2. Requirements for Materials
2.1. The Partner undertakes to publish only accurate and up-to-date Materials.
2.2. It is prohibited to publish Materials containing:
• dangerous or harmful content;
• false or misleading information;
• insults, harassment, or discrimination;
• hate speech;
• manipulated or distorted media;
• inaccurate medical content;
• sexual content;
• extremist, violent, or cruel content;
• obscene language.
2.3. Headlines and previews of Materials must not mislead Users and must correspond to the content.


3. Advertising and Sponsored Content
3.1. Advertising and sponsored materials must be clearly labeled.
3.2. It is prohibited to disguise advertising materials as editorial content.
3.3. The volume of advertising materials must not exceed the volume of the main content.
3.4. The Partner must disclose information about sponsorship, including the presence of payment, affiliation, or other forms of support.


4. Transparency and Identification
4.1. The Partner must ensure that the following information is included in the Materials:
• date and time of publication;
• author or source;
• link to the author’s page (if available);
• contact information (if available).
4.2. This information must be clearly accessible to the User.


5. Technical and Structural Requirements
5.1. Publication of Materials on the Portal is carried out through automatic processing of data received from the Partner via RSS feeds (feed links) provided by the Partner for:
• public distribution on the Internet; or
• use by the Company on an individual basis within the framework of cooperation.
5.2. The Partner guarantees that the provided RSS feeds contain Materials for which the Partner holds distribution rights or has obtained them lawfully.
5.3. Materials must include:
• datePublished (publication date);
• header (headline) — at least 10 characters, no more than 150 characters; the use of the headline as a hyperlink is not allowed;
• image — must correspond to the Material; be in a supported format (JPEG, PNG); not consist solely of logos; have a minimum size of 600x400 pixels and a correct aspect ratio;
• image — must not infringe the copyright or other rights of third parties;
• url (link to the author);
• shortText (short description of the article) — at least 200 characters.


6. Updating Materials
6.1. Changing the publication date is permitted only in case of substantial updates to the content.
6.2. Artificial updating of Materials without adding meaningful information is prohibited.
6.3. Publishing slightly modified copies of previously published Materials is prohibited.


7. Liability
7.1. The Partner bears full responsibility for the content of the published Materials.
7.2. To verify news information contained in the Materials, it is recommended to refer to the source — the Partner — by following the link in the article.
7.2. The Company does not guarantee:
• timeliness;
• accuracy;
• reliability;
• completeness of the Materials.
7.3. The Company is not responsible for:
• the content of the Materials;
• compliance of the Materials with applicable laws;
• infringement of third-party rights.


8. Removal of Materials and Feedback (Violation Reports)
8.1. The Company has the right to remove Materials or restrict access to them in the following cases:
• violation of these Terms;
• detection of false information;
• presence of technical errors, including incorrect or non-functioning links.
8.2. Removal or restriction of access to Materials may be carried out without prior notice to the Partner.
8.3. The removal period may take up to several days depending on the nature of the violation and technical processing specifics.
8.4. Users have the right to notify the Company about:
• false information;
• violations of these Terms;
• errors in publications.
8.5. Reports of violations, errors, or inaccurate information should be sent to: support@inbox.lv. It is recommended to indicate in the subject line: “Violation report / news error.”
8.6. The Partner understands and agrees that after Materials are removed from the Portal, such Materials may remain and/or be displayed in third-party services, including but not limited to search engines, news aggregators, and cache services, in the form of headlines, links, or other fragments (snippets).
8.7. The Company does not control the activities of such third-party services, does not manage the timing of removal or updating of information in them, and is not obliged to initiate the removal of such data.
8.8. The Company is not responsible for the storage, display, or distribution of Materials by third parties after their removal from the Portal. The Partner independently takes measures to interact with such services if necessary.
8.9. The Partner also agrees that following previously published links may not provide access to the full content of the Materials on the Portal.


9. Moderation
9.1. The Company does not perform prior moderation of Materials.
9.2. The Company reserves the right to apply prior or subsequent moderation.


10. Final Provisions
10.1. These Terms may be amended by the Company unilaterally.
10.2. The current version of the “Terms of Use for Publishing News Materials on the Inbox News Portal” is published in the Help section at: https://help.inbox.vg/
